Ken Miller is leading a successful 20-plus year career in product and package innovation research and Design Strategy. He was a founder of One80 Design, an innovation and design consulting firm, until its acquisition by a global brand strategy firm in early 2006. He left that firm in 2007 to form KMG.
For most of his career, Ken has been responsible for driving the strategic design effort for product and packaging initiatives, grounded in his patented Insight for Innovation Tools. That often includes work in design research, design strategy and concept development. Clients for whom Ken has planned and executed this work include Kraft Foods, PepsiCo, SC Johnson, Oxford/Pendaflex, Mars, Disney and many others.
Earlier in his career, Ken held Design Research, Strategy and Project Leadership roles with other innovation consulting firms. And before that, he was a senior level Vice President of Product Development for American Express, responsible for developing the first generation of Membership Rewards and other new card products and benefits.
Ken speaks and writes frequently on topics such as effective innovation processes, Design Research techniques and consumer trends. He holds a BA in psychology from Lafayette College, has completed graduate work in industrial psychology at Georgia Tech, and received an MBA from New York University.
